Family Charity Walks
Organised by the Rotary Club of Windermere Saturday 12th September
The family charity walks make an exciting outdoor event in the beautiful Lake District, whilst at the same time raising money for the participant's favourite charity. Whether you are a single rambler or family group, why not join in?
There are three levels of walks to cater for everyone’s interest - either 3.5, 5 or 10 miles. All three start and finish at St Anne's School, Windermere and take in the ascent of Orrest Head, one of Wainwright's favourite viewpoints. Travel directions alternative route (click here)
How does it work?
First - you decide which Charity you wish to support. It may be your local Scout/Guide group, your Parent/Teacher group or one of the nationally recognised charities.
Next - you download and complete the registration form (click here) and send this together with your entry fee (£5 / person or £10 / family) to:
Mountain Goat Tours & Holidays (address on registration form)
Then - you start getting Sponsors - friends, relatives, workmates willing to pay you 50p or £1 / mile (or even more!) to take part. Download our ready-made sponsor sheets (click here) and record the names of those agreeing to sponsor you.
Now - the hard part - complete the walk.
Finally - collect the money and forward it to your chosen charity.
Simple: You get the Sponsors,
You enjoy the walk & benefit from the exercise,
You collect money for your chosen charity,
We orgainise the event for you.
